  • Preventing cognitive overload means you understand how much the brain can actually take in and you design for depth, not overwhelm.

  • Navigating complexity means you accept that learning is messy and nonlinear, and you help participants find clarity without oversimplifying.

  • Training triage means you can rapidly assess what’s happening in the room and adapt your plan without losing the thread.

  • And knowing the fundamental attribution error means you avoid blaming participants for disengagement and instead look at the system, the design, and the environment you’ve created.
